So i have a 2009 BMW 318i Se N43 Engine. The heating only works out of the very far left vent of the passenger side. Ive flushed the radiator, heater core and the whole system. I had a new thermostat installed but not sure how well that was done. The air comes out freezing cold on the drivers side and doesnt matter what setting it is on.

Install oil level sensor into oil pan. Tighten three 10mm nuts and reconnect electrical connector. Fill engine with oil. Start engine and allow to run for 1 minute. Then inspect oil level sensor for leaks. Once you are sure no leaks are present, reinstall plastic splash shields. Upload a Photo: Choose a file.
The easiest way is to remove the steering wheel and compare it to a car that has steering wheel heat. 2. Assuming your X7 is pre-wired for steering wheel heat (and you obtain a heated steering wheel) you will need to get your car coded to "turn on" the steering wheel heat feature in the X7's software. I just got my car two days ago (F30 328d) and I was showing the car off to a buddy and voila! couldn't open the trunk with the fob or with the button down to the left of the dash. I'm assuming it's the magical valet switch in the glove compartment and will check that out tomorrow. It is in the F30 manual on page 41.
After some investigation I realised the little metal pin on the wiper assembly that bridges the gap between the split rear window and the rear door was to short to reach the slot it should be in so the wiper was not moving. With some pliers I pulled the pin out someone and hey presto everything worked fine. Then later it stopped again and the
its probably the ac fan behind the glove box. Mine did it then eventually I got fedup and replaced the fan. It has one torx scew and a tab you need to lift and twist to remove it. You can get ither a fan with or without the power module. The fans center shaft can rust overtime and just fail after a spell of noise.
