Click to enlarge. The Lake of Lamentation is a frozen lake in Lornar's Pass. It is populated by pinipals and steam creatures. There is a steam outpost in the middle of the lake which the steam creatures are trying to rebuild from time to time. This event is part of the Steam Insurgence meta-event.

This mount skin can be dyed. It has 4 dye channels. The beetle gets a orange glow and sparks fly from the bottom of the mount when moving at high speeds. The mount has a different sound when impacting the ground by landing or jumping, sounding more of a metallic thud.
With the Roller Beetle, we have a mount with its own mastery-line (which is really nice). It can be used in all Tyria and adds a little to mobility. Its appearance is quite entertaining, but the usefulness is limited. When I take a look on the other LS 4 masteries so far:

When going to Kessex Hills from the airship in Gendarran Fields I use the springer to jump on the airship to get extra altitude then switch to the griffon and do a power dive to gain speed to cross the map quick. Using the roller beetle you have to contend with speed drops with ever rise in the terrain, turn, etc.

I suck at using the Roller Beetle. I decided a long time ago never to use it. But I wanted the ghostly scarf from the Mad King festival. So I started trying to get under 1 minute in the Roller Beetle race. It wasn't happening. I tried 'Disable Conditional Mount Movement Ability Input' under General Options and it didn't really help much.
